<Swing Dev> Why is JDK-8188081 not an issue?: Text selection does not clear after focus is lost

Van Den Borre, Koen
Hey,

With regards to a JTextField the expected behavior on windows and mac is quite clear.

When the focus is lost, the text selection is cleared.
When focus is gained all text is selected.

I fail to see how one would look at the behavior of notepad to verify what a JTextField should do.
Please look at the behavior of a real text field in both mac and windows and observe the behavior.

Please re-evaluate this bug report.

Thanks,

Koen
